The N25 Waterford By-pass
dual carriageway was officially opened on Monday 19th October 2009.
Celtic Roads Group (Waterford) DAC is responsible for the Suir River Crossing cable stayed bridge which is 465 meters long, 23km of Dual carriageway, and almost 10km of single carriageway.
By providing a bypass route, including a new crossing of the River Suir, the N25 Waterford Bypass PPP Scheme has greatly eased traffic congestion and benefited the local community of Waterford by improving the environment and travel times. The Scheme will also bring significant benefits to the commercial sector as the route is a vital national artery, being a pivotal point on the N25 Cork to Rosslare port route.
This projected is funded through the collection of tolls, located West of the Suir Bridge.
