Brief History

CRG is an international consortium of three companies who came together to bid for road construction projects under the Irish Government’s National Development Plan (NDP), 2000-2006.   The NDP allowed for a Public Private Partnership Programme (PPP) to fund the construction of several infrastructure projects, three of which were won under tender to CRG, namely the Dundalk Western By-pass PPP Project, Waterford By-Pass PPP Project and Portlaoise By-Pass PPP Project..

Public Partnership

The Irish Government under its National Development Plan (NDP) 2000 – 2006 allowed for a Public Private Partnership Programme to fund the design, construction and maintenance of several key infrastructural projects. The National Roads Authority (NRA) along with the relevant Local Authorities are the Public Sector partners, they award the contracts under tender competition and oversee all elements of the construction and maintenance of the roads. 14 construction projects were put out to tender, of which CRG won three of these projects.
